Default PING! Delay Compensation - 2019 edition

Going to bump this back up for 2019 - was an IdeaScale thing, but we've kissed that goodbye; delay compensation still sucks when trying to run outboard in a parallel compression situation on Auxes, especially when multiple parallel buses are involved.

Cubase and Logic work MUCH better in this regard, but they are the last places I want to work.

Give us a PING control, Avid (pretty please...)! Add a button to the I/O Insert window to send out a single-sample spike that gets measured and then compensated for.

It is well overdue! Reaper has it... and even DAWs like Ableton Live have a better method of compensating for the delay of hardware inserts than Pro Tools currently offers. Obviously HDX and HDN are the exception - but I'm sure a lot of users running third party interfaces like Focusrite's Red Pre series and Burl would love to have sample accuracy with their HDX and HDN cards too.

There is a list? Looked like not even enough items to make a list lol, even less if your just a standard user..... all i’ve seen is 2-3 items mentioned in a write up posted earlier. If there is a list can you pass on the link?
