Re: Using 888/24 and 888/16 Simultaneously
The original cable will work.. you use less DSP by using a Y cable.. make sure in your harware setup that it's an 888 and not an 888/24.. that's all there is to it.

Using 888/24 and 888/16 Simultaneously
I recently purchased a used 888/16 for it's digital in/outs with my mix cubed system.
Mix cubed w/ 888/24 on one card and 1622 on the other. One card empty. What is the best way to attach the 888/16? 1. A splitter cable and connect the 888/16 and the 88/24 on one card? OR 2. Connect the 888/16 to the empty card (will it take up an extra chip this way? Also, do I need a new cable to attach the 888/16 to the mix3 system or will the original one work. Any info would be appreciated. Keith |
