Archived session files from 5 are corrupt on 6
Hey gang. We've run into some fairly serious issues lately when restoring archived sessions that were originally created on a v.5 MIX24 system ala OS9. We now have a HD 192 rig runnning 10.3.4. We archive our sessions via Veritas Backup Exec onto DLT. Backyup Exec runs off a Win2k server. We haven't had any problems restoring jobs when we were running OS 9. Are there any gotchas or tips anyone could share? The current hypothesis is that the network is somehow corrupting the file, but I think it's more an issue with OS x and Veritas not getting along. Any help is much appreciated!!!

There were some similar issues with Retrospect... restore the sessions in OS 9.

Re: Archived session files from 5 are corrupt on 6
Well, unfortunately, our IT group upgraded us from Backup Exec 8 to 9 right when we got our G5 (we were the only reason holding them back from the upgrade in the first place), and Backup Exec 9 does not run on OS 9. Doh! Can someone at Digi pipe in here please? Is this a known issue, ie, archived sessions made on OS 9 cannot be successfully restored to OS X.
