Default Trilian gliss up

I find that the studio bass multis has too much string buzz in the gliss up patches. Sounds weird to me. When I play my JB it sounds nothing like that. Any thoughts?

PS: Don't tell me to record my own bass - I need that fifth string on this song.

No takers, huh? Well, I think the gliss up patches sounds like they were recorded with a very light finger pressure, and they sound odd. String buzz galore...

I feel this way about the slides on the Studio Bass.

I use Stack Mode and load the Trilogy Old School Bass (for slides) on channel 1 and Studio Bass on channel 2. Old School Bass has a softer and perhaps better tone for slides IMO.

Set the key range for the Old School Bass from A0 - B1 and Studio Bass from C2 - C8 and it's the perfect custom bass patch for me... can even load an EQ in Trilian on the Old School Bass channel and tweak if I wanted.

Thanks for chiming in. Yes, that's a valid workaround, but I can't shake the feeling that the gliss up sounds in the multi doesn't fit the rest of the articulations. For once, I think Spectrasonics missed the mark.

I can see that being hard to think considering how awesome their products and customer support are.

The different basses in Stack Mode works well in the mix for me.

Let 'em know and see what they say. You being a bass player I'm sure it will carry some weight. Would be nice to see an update with a Studio Bass with different slides and gliss tone.

Eric and Glen regularly chime in over at Northernsounds.. Stick a note up there and see how they respond.

They're some of the best people out there for their customers.

Yes, I love Spectrasonics' VI's, and the support team. They've always been great.
