Default Wierd sync/task manager issue

Ever since I updated to 7.3, the task manager is continually syncing all of my external HD's. It only affects the ones that are open in the workspace, but what is really wierd is that if I jump to another app, then go back to ProTools, it re-syncs everything.

I'm able to work, but this is annoying. Is there some setting I'm missing? And yes, I did the 7.3.1 update and it changed nothing.

TIA!
