Default PT 8 reverbs

I got used to PT8, and must say that I consider this upgrade worthwhile the cash...easier to work with, and more stable. The plugins are generally more usable. D-Verb also improved, however, I get some distortion (Hawaii guitar-like vibrato) with acoustic instruments in highest range with sustained notes. Any idea how to avoid it? Which freebie RTAS stuff could do the job?

Thx,

Bob

Check this thread

and see if it corresponds to your findings. Maybe just experiment with the different algorithms and see if you find some that behave better. Personally, I rarely use Dverb unless I need a "trashy' sound. There are lots of decent verb plugins available if you don't mind dropping a couple hundred bucks. TL Space is a nice convolution verb. BreverB is nice(but a little funky to navigate). IK Classik verbs sound good and are very easy to edit and I recently bought that package off the bay for under $200.

Really? I was curious about those IK reverbs. How do they compare to the others Albee? Ever since I lost access to all the waves stuff I miss my old standby "Studio A" reverb.
