Lots of unknowns for now but definitely, the old cards are stuck on pt10 and thats always been the case since that release. I'm sure they'll be pushing the HDX upgrades hard again

I hope they re-animate the legacy (HD, Mix+ etc.) to HDn/HDX path.

Frank.

I hope they give us some kind of bin/folder structure to organise our files, but I'll not be holding my breath for that one.

Curious about the new workspace too. Is it only faster or do we get some more features there as well?

I think we will have some more info in the next few weeks when NAB will be over and usual hater/hyper choir will decay.

If they bring back the legacy system upgrades, it will be next quarter, because they just came out with the new special offers, which don't include that.

Note that they still have the ongoing offer of trading in your old interfaces for the new interfaces, but nothing for new cards (HDX or HDN).

I wonder with the new Media Composer engine if it'll be possible to export HD video from within Pro Tools? If I could export a ProRes 422 with 16 tracks of audio I'd be really happy.

You're apparently able to do some limited editing of the video. So that would mean that you can export the video else what you have edited would be lost. That's my assumption anyways.

I don't get the new video features, I've always been able to do elementary video editing... Always been able to play DNXHD and XDcam...

So now I can play those natively (as in not wrapped in a quicktime)? Are there really any sync benefits?
