Default PT to Receive Midi channel data from MPC

I am trying to set up several software synths and use Protools as a sound module with my MPC. There are up to 16 channels that the MPC can utilize. Is there a way to assign an instrument track a midi channel #, one that would coincide with one of the MPCs midi channels?

My end goal would be to simultaneously record multiple instruments sequenced by the MPC. Thanks in advance!

Google YouTube, pro tools, midi, mpc. There are a couple of good tutorial videos there.
