I am very disappointment to say the least. I updated my system only to realize Avid Core Audio Driver is still NOT working. No iTunes, No audio from another daw, no Native Instruments. I wonder WHY every other interface works smoothly with OSX but this very expensive one doesnt ?.

Welcome to the forum.

I won't be defending Avid here, some known issues are just not acceptable for different people.

But with that said, they have finite resources in fixing things that broke when they ditched old 32bit software and started with the new 64bit software (not to mention that all 3rd party plugin vendors needed to start over with the AAX plugin format). That is why current and new users have licenses for PT10 as well, so that one can use the features that have been proven to work.

Yes me too. It would be really nice if someone fix this and stop passing the buck. It was the change made to Yosemite that caused this problem, but at the end of the game if Apple doesn't fix it why can't Avid? OS companies break things from time to time and new drivers or some sort of fix is need. It's just the nature of the beast.

I admit that having a few existing features cascaded down the foodchain is good news for those having access to those features for the first time, but that's hardly something to shout from the rooftops about, it's smply a bit of very limited tinkering.

Now had things such as disc cache, VCAs, extra automation modes, i/o limits, extended metering, etc etc been cascaded, THAT would have been worthy of praise, but still not amountng to the implementation of 'cool new features'!

Even a list of precisely which bugs (if any) have been fixed is not provided.

I remain underwhelmed.

I totally agree with everything you said here. I guess it was some sort of relief to see that Avid is still breathing for some, even though the features they said were coming soon have not arrived as of yet.

announced 15 moths ago at NAB 2014 it's not going to ready the real question how much extra is it going to cost? - I can't really see that Avid is just going to give out server space for free ...

Nigel, I was referring to features that were previously HD-only. Per track input monitoring, heat, copy to send, etc. These are listed at the top of the thread.

Wow they gave them HDN heat, and auto input monitoring on Vanilla and copy automation to sends....nice
