Be aware these are shipping with a special build of lion - this won't be the standard 10.7.4 - I read that in one of the Mac sites - hopefully this is mostly for the laptops with the added resolution but be aware this will be shipping with a different build than the normal folks have - and as a previous poster said after the Autumn they will come with ML only - bonza for sure b/c I'm sure avid has PT10/11 qualified to run ML right ??

I was suggesting that if people were interested in one of these, that they NOT wait for Mountain Lion, as we don't know what compatibility there will be will Protools and Mountain Lion. By getting one now, before Mountain Lion comes out, at least you know you're getting Lion, which is qualified.

To the other question, regarding the hardware itself, since these are the same processors and the same design, they should be fine with Protools, since nothing in the general build was changed.
