Well, most posts are questions. Newbies like me look to see if it is like a problem we are seeing. The only useful reply is from someone who has an answer, and they tend to be few. I would rather have one answer I can use than many wrong ones, and I'm happy if others benefit from any posts I make and the hopefully correct expert replies.

The only stuff that irks me is the questions that are easily answered with a bit of searching. It's pretty bad if you're too lazy to use a search engine.

That, and people that get mad because they don't like the answer to their question.

Agreed. I do extensive searches prior to asking any questions. Also when I find an answer to something, I post it for others to see.

do you find that their search engine works well? i have had numerous occaisons of searching for things endlessy and not finding them. most notable recent one was searching for white noise burst issues when that was starting. it was spread across a number of posts, but tryign to find info or answers was very difficult because the search engine wouldn't seem to parse "white noise" as a string, and included everything the referred to noise.

Your post has 112 views and 5 responses-6 with this one. I believe that people will respond when they have an answer to a question, I know I do...and it feels good Others, myself included, are here to learn about their own systems problems and to read about possible future problems.

Hi, I have nothing to add, but thought I'd post anyway to demonstrate that I'm not your typical "American".

Is that what you were looking for?

Why is it that most people want what they can get from this site without contributing their time back to it?
absolutely hogwash... there are people on this forum who answer on the Mac side, PC side and HD
