Windows ASIO driver for 001, When?
Does anyone know if there's going to be an ASIO driver available for the Digi001 on the PC? I know there's one available for the Mac. It would be nice since I've done many projects on VST in the past and would like to be able to have full I/O of the 001 available.

Re: Windows ASIO driver for 001, When?
The ASIO driver for the Mac was created by Steinberg (not Digidesign). I've been watching the Steinberg web site for a PC version but none has been posted so far. I use Cubase and would like one as well. Steinberg only has the Mac version posted.

Re: Windows ASIO driver for 001, When?
Glad to hear of someone else running the 001 and Cubase. I've had a problem ever since I installed it. I've uninstalled and re-installed everthing three times now and still no joy. Maybe you could point me in the right direction.
The problem I have is with using MMC. I have two external hard-disk recorders which I use in conjuction with a Yamaha Promix 01 automated digital mixing desk. This combined with the Gina multi-i/o audio card I was using made for a pretty powerful little automated system. Then I got caught up in the glow of Protools and got the 001. Everything else still works fine within Cubase. But if I attempt to sync up using MMC, Cubase crashes. Sometimes freezing the computer as well. I'm using Cubase VST V3.7R2 Motu midi Express XT (multi-i/o midi) Akai DR4d hard-disk recorders I don't want to blame the 001 or the software, but I "never" had these problems until the ProTools Le installation. Maybe this is the wrong forum, but is it possible this is known problem with V3.7R2? Please help if you can. I've got regular vocalist coming in now and I'd like to go back to working this way. Thanks - Tony. |

Re: Windows ASIO driver for 001, When?
I have a different set up than you. I'm using Cubase VST v3.7R2 as well but I'm using my PowerSampler as a sound card (ASIO driver - two channel I/O). And I haven't done any syncing with external hard disk recorders.
You may have a resource conflict (IRQ) between one of your PCI cards (MOTU, GINA & OO1). If that winds up being the case, you can set up the 001 in a separate Hardware Profile. |
