Default Autotune Pro Out

Yep, melodyne or Auto Tune would be fantastic as a AAX-DSP

This is a hole sadly missed thus far.

Only option that I know of is to Run a Universal Audio interface and put auto tune on the unison channel Pre PT. (Aside from TDM obviously)

I upgraded. It does seem a bit expensive, but I love being able to change the window size and the "import auto" is killer for my workflow. Those were the two main things I wanted.

It sounds a bit cleaner and more natural sounding to me. The only problem I am having is, the Auto Key Plugin won't send the key to the AutoTune Pro Plugin. In the manual it says select it in preference and it is but it doesn't work. Other then that it does sound better to my ears. I do like the new GUI and it does improve the work flow.

I tried out the Autotune 5 classic mode in auto thoroughly for the first time today and I think it blows away Autotune 8/Normal Mode. Everything that I was saying earlier applies here. More even dynamics and pitch, more natural, etc. I like to set the retune at around 340 with humanize around 15 except if there's some long held notes where AT starts sounding off.

Contacted Antares today to ask whether Autotune 8 & Pro can run concurrently (on the same machine). Bottom line is... V8 & Pro can co-exist, but not 8.1 & Pro.

All AT 8.1 settings are apparently loaded into an AT Pro instance (how well I'm not sure), so something to bare in mind if you have on-going projects using Autotune 8.1 & have Pro installed.

I've been using the keyfinder program for a long time. It's free and works well. But I will try the Antares key and see what happens. I tried installing 8.0.4 and couldn't get it to run with Pro. Today I tried using the 8 mode again with the same settings as 5, but with Flextune engaged to 30 or so. It might end up that I like Flextune with a retune speed over 350 better. Have to do more comparisons.

Can you test the Antares AutoKey plugin for me and see if it will send the key to the AutoTune Plugin. My experience is that it will find the key just fine it just won’t send it.

Can somebody please try this for me? I’ve been emailing back and forth with Antares support about this issue and they have no clue how to fix it or why it is not working. I would take this question up with their forum but I can’t find it on their website nor can I find a phone number for support only a helpdesk which communicates through email. I just need somebody using ProTools 2018.4 to tell me if it’s working for them or not.

Antares support finally figured out how to fix this! The Key Plugin is now sending the key to all AutoTune Pro plugins in the project.

With that "simplified" GUI, can you still choose what notes to leave in and leave out individually? Or just dictate the key?

IOW, will allow for accidentals?
