You have some clients coming over and ProTools starts acting crazy !!!!!!
you're setting up the sessions getting ready to go and nothings working right play/ stop doesn't work your graphics are hanging

And then literally five minutes before they walk in the door everything is back to normal it is really really stressful

Had serious thoughts about updating to 10 there for a minute / then it passed !!! Whoo back to the session (and waiting on PT11)

I'm good just wondering if I was the only one who had this happen - were cool again

ya, i call that the studio "phantom";
when things go cukoo at the worst possible time.

pt wise, once starting a lock out with a band from florida in,
pt reset all prefs right when opened, so everything looked and acted unfamiliar.
(in front of the band, natch.)

or the power supply blowing on our console, meaning a drive up the 5 freeway in traffic while the band cools it heels.

worst prolly was the ac dying the hottest day in july when Rat Scabies
came by to knock out some drums...

I've seen these kinds of things once in a while on rigs that go online (OS updates etc.), but I've not had this on studio rigs that stay offline. No telling what gets picked up from the Internet.

Yeah it was freakish - I trashed the prefs and restarted and it was Kool after that - but literally 5 min b/F they knocked on the door - I thought whew that was a close one

And it worked fine for the rest of the night - we did about 4 hours

All is well that ends well huh !
