Firewire 800 to 400
I have a firewire 800 drive, it has 1 800 port, it also has 2 Firewire 400 ports, can I connect it to the computer with the 800 port, and then daisy chain it to another firewire drive with the 400 port??

I also would never mix 400 and 800 Firewire devices together on the same wire. To me, this sounds like asking for trouble. --Marc W. |
