Did you install the HD Driver?

Make sure the 16x16 is on.
Launch the CAM manually.
Applications>Utilities>Avid CoreAudio Manager.
You should get the CAM status box saying connected.
Change the sample rate if necessary from the HW Setup box. Click OK.
Go back to the status box.
Then Click Prefs.
Uncheck "Auto quit manager when last client quits" box. Click OK.
Launch Logic Pro.
Let me know if this does it or not. It's been working for me about a year now.

I just want to say thank you very much Mr Rob Da Silva for this, I did what you said and it's working, now I have a few more questions if you don't mind, do I have to do this every time I open Logic and leave the CAM open for Logic all the time, and can I use 2 16x16 with this setup??
Thanks again

Glad to help 2244.
Logic should launch the CAM on its own once you get the Prefs set to not have the app auto quit. Protools always initializes hardware on launch so it gets confusing depending on where you start.

Safest to use this technique when running Logic as the first app attached to the CAM.

Once the CAM is running, it will remain running until the the computer is shut down. It should be seen in the dock. You can also quit it manually in the status box. And as long as the 2 16Xs are daisy chained to the HDX card, you should be fine.

If you want to see this, uncheck "Hide manager if auto-launched by client" in the Prefs.

This is very interesting. I am currently using Logic and HD on 2 separate machines. I am considering going to HDX and using PT for some tasks like mixing and Logic for other tasks (but all on one computer). My question has been how many in and outputs can I use in Logic with HDX. I believe I heard 32 in / out is the limit (which is fine for my Logic side of things). Is that correct?

I believe HDN/HDX can use 64 i/o using CoreAudio. Huge improvement compared to 8 i/o of TDM systems.
