Replace Power Supply on Control|24
Hey...
I've got a Control|24 that is dead...the power supply went out. Is swapping out the power supply a task I can do? Or does a Digi rep have to come out to do it? Anyone know how to do it? Thanks...

I had to replace my power supply a couple years ago. It is easy enough to accomplish. If your Control 24 is still under warranty, Digi should be able to send you a new power supply (with instructions on how to install it), free of charge.

Our local gear repair technician had a PS in stock, picked up the Control24, swapped it out, and had it back and rolling in less than 3 hours.

Hey AfterJohn, I know it was a while ago that you posted the above, but I noticed you are or were in Atlanta when needing to make the repair to your control 24 power supply. I am having the same issue and was wondering if you could refer me to the local gear tech who was able to get you a power supply in Atlanta. Thanks so much!

Search the board for "control 24 psu repair for $40!" I posted it a while ago. There's a company called Skynet that will rebuild your psu for 40 bucks. Skynet actually built the psu's for digi, so they repair ANY of their products for a flat fee. Its easy enough to do yourself. The psu pops off of the back panel. Just mark all your wires, take pics, and really install it the same way. I was actually able to take.mine apart, remove the psu, and put the new rebuilt one back in with no prior knowledge about this board. As a matter of fact, I'm in need of a rebuild now. These things are known to die every few years. So get useto doin it yourself, or be ready to pay a serious premium for service!
