I'm showing off my noob status here, but I don't even know what A.A.X buys me.

I use Strike and Structure alot and have used Velvet a few times. I've played around with the other two enough to want to use them, but my imagination is failing me so far. Aside from some Strike quirkyness, I'm quite pleased. It's whetted my appetite for more and more. I'm thinking that I might expand my horizons some if I dug deeper into Structure and Hybrid.

DJ if you are referring to Avid then you have been really busy. Avid sold A.I.R. Hopefully IEP will be updated before the next major PT release. I'd love to continue using Hybrid, Velvet, and Transfuser.

Always good to be busy with work. In addition to AAX, IEP is long overdue for feature updates. I'm also waiting to see what happens.

Hybrid is actually a lot of fun to work with IF you're into creating and tweaking your own sounds, which I like to do. There are several layers of controls to work with to create the sound you want. Its a nice mixture of digital/analog sound...kinda reminds me a bit of the sounds from the old Korg DW8000. Can get some nice fat bass type sounds, to light, crisp bell type sounds and lots in between.

Well worth taking time to explore and learn! Just my $0.02
