I found this bug by using the notation display and moving a few notes. I found by closing Pro Tools and restarting it, it fixes the problem. I just can't move notes around. The midi editor is fine although that can cause some graphic freezes. I don't know what causes the Mdie line476 error but I already started a thread but had little response.

I used Win 7 on a 64 bit Gateway but the video card is a Quadra 600

Craig F was suggesting to use a Sandra report which may give more helpful details about your setup. I think it's overkill but in some cases it does help.
