Default DEAD DSP in usage window?

Hello
I hope this doesn't mean what I think it means. Saturday I mixed a session on my PT5 Mixplus 24.beige G3 160mg ram OS9. The session is about 20 tracks and 5-6 aux returns not real heavey on plugins. The session went fine but when I went to open it up for the client to hear it told me there was not enough DSP so some mixer tracks or sends could not be created. It finished opening and sure enough one of the send would not work.
So I went to the DSP window and on the second card 3rd chip it says in brackets "DSP dead".
So I went to the Digi test and it won't even show the cards I have installed. As a matter of fact, I have never seen that part of the program work.(that is another isssue)

I opened another program (smaller) and it worked fine. I just remembered I didn't check the DSP window in that session (duh) Well if my card is bad, which it is just over a year old, what are the options. I really was hoping this system would work at least until I paid it off.
Any suggestions are welcome and thank you in advance.

got that same message on ALL chips on a Mix card at one point in the past, never on a particular chip. Reseating the card fixed whatever problem there was, been fine ever since. Don't know if that will help in your case, but it's worth a try....

In addition to reseating the card, reseat and/or try different nodes of the TDM ribbon cable. Last but certainly not least, trash the DigiSetup File, Pro Tools preference, and DAE prefs (the entire folder) from the System Folder>Preferences folder. Empty the Trash and restart the Mac. When you go back into Pro Tools, do so from the Pro Tools Application Icon and not by double clicking on a session. Once Pro Tools is launched, reconfigure the hardware settings.
