Default TDM / RTAS Plugin Latency

Hi, i've got a simple question and i'm sorry to ask as it should b in the manual but i can't work it out.. .

I get latency on individual tracks when loading them with plugins and can't work out why... it happens with TDM plugs and delays individual tracks by varying amounts in relation to each other if i scatter my plugins !.. i'm using 6.2.3 and have tried playing with buffers, latency values and the sample buffer sizes but nothing works..

Is there any such thing as Auto delay Compensation equivalent to say what Digital Performer uses? (that's what i used before and found no latency issues) ..

sorry for sounding so green but with PT i guess i am ! any help is much appreciated.. cheers

Default Re: TDM / RTAS Plugin Latency

Hi,

Turn delay compensation on

It is under one of the main menu's at the top of the page! operations? can't remember which one.

Then select how much in the DAE settings! if you have heavy delay eating plugins! then set it to the max. (this will use more chips usage on your core card) if you use just a few not too much delay eating plugs then set it to a smaller delay comp setting.(this will use less chip usage on your core card)

under windows select mixer view and select view delay compensation.

Oh 6.2.3! i missed that bit, uhh buy 6.4 or you'll have to use the provided delay plugins to match you're opposing tracks or drag the audio track back!!
