Default DAE 9073 when scrubbing PT HD 10.3.9 (no, I'm not running off my system drive)

I'm getting pretty consistent DAE -9073 errors whenever I try scrubbing on my work computer. I want to say that it's been doing this for a while, possibly ever since I started using it (I've only edited on it for a total of maybe a month-ish, we were moving studios around for a while). I've also tried searching around, but couldn't really find any info that was current and looked like it pertained to my situation (many people get the problem when they have projects on their system drive - I don't do that, though).

I'm always working off of my internal project drive, a 7200 RPM, or a WD Black in an external bay that's connected via FW 800.

Some tech details below:

Pro Tools HD 10.3.9
1 Core card
192 interface

PB Engine Settings:
1024 H/W Buffer
3/4 Processors
85% CPU
96 Voices (3 DSP)
2 GB Cache Size

Mac Pro 1,1
Mac OS X 10.6.8
2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Xeon
8 GB RAM

So, it's weird, because I get the errors regardless of the drive I'm using. Yet my understanding of the 9073 error is that it has to do with where the audio files and project are located (I'm not working with samplers or anything - strictly editing audio files). Is it possible that this is one of those things that a full system wipe and re-install might solve? I can't really think of what else I can do.

One other note, my internal project drive IS really full, like it has 60 GB free out of 1 terabyte, so that's problematic, but that doesn't explain why I have the same issue with the WD Black drives, which are always pretty trim (and work fine for editing on other systems at the studio).

Any input is appreciated!
