Default Dead in the water with 11.0.2

The latest version can't initialize my Lynx Converters. Worked fine in 11.0.1. Any thoughts out there? Essentially not working with the drivers and card which has worked fine up to this point in prior versions.

More data....

The program just refuses to initialize even though both the program and my lynx mixer agree on rate and buffer.

I did get one of the PT templates to work but none of the projects I created in 11.1 will load and play. I get the failure to initialize warning when I hit play. When I go to change any settings, the program freezes.

Going back to 11.1 until this is sorted out.

Welcome any thoughts.

Default Re: Dead in the water with 11.0.2 - FIXED (amp modeler driver conflict)

Ok, found the issue.

I was using an amp modeler, Yamaha THR10, the Steinberg ASIO driver was causing conflicts with the Lynx driver. They cannot reside together as options in Protools. Once I removed the Steinberg driver as a sound card option, everything went back to normal with the Lynx and PT11.0.2.

Also, just uninstalling the Steinberg driver did not clean up properly. You have to manually delete the drive in the ASIO folder under the Steinberg folder.

Looks like I will have to direct line or use a microphone with the THR10 into PT as the USB connection, although it works independently in PT and you can record directly, you can't switch back and forth with the Lynx driver or have them co-exist.

Leaving this for others in case they run into a problem.

Hey Philgrab,

I just posted most of this in it's own posting...

I notice you've experience using the THR10 with PT (with an earlier version?)

I'm new with both the amp and PT (I have Express, with a MacBook Pro 10.6).

I think I have everything hooked up right (driver's installed, etc), and I can see the THR10 as an option in the I/O settings (on the track I'm arming for record).

But I can't get a signal. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Any help?

Thanks much.
