Veeery Strange keystroke latency

Pro tools 2109.5 running, Midi kbd connected. Session open. Falcon Plug on instrument track. Using PC built in speakers.

Tapping a key on my midi kbd continuously through the following:

Firstly, for about 5-10 seconds, the falcon is sounding for all keystrokes I tap, completely fine, until...

...falcon stops sounding the keystrokes, but sounds like it have latched several decays from previous keystrokes. And when I keep tapping...

...then all of a sudden after say 5-10 seconds, all the attacks from the non-sounding keystrokes, come all at once as a mega-attack....

...then kpd taps makes falco sound just norma for about 5-10 secondsl...

...until the cycle repeats again...

The above does not happen when I play the kbd when the session is playing, and sounding. Then everything works just fine.
The above does not happen when I play the falcon using the mouse, tapping a (virtual) key on the falcon with the cursor on the screen.

Is this a known problem?
Any ideas?

USB energy saving options unchecked in device mgr and energy scheme.
Anti-virus suspended.

Restarted PC

Not using Pro Tools but playing a stand-alone installed arturia analog lab synth, all works just fine.

What is going on here?

Now using my Eleven Rack instead, things work as should. But why does the PC speakers f* things up. Is another audio driver needed for the pc speakers? Should I install ASIO4ALL or something for the PC speakers to work with Pro Tools ?

Still confused. Pls help
