Default Am I the only one excited about Soft sample cell

Has anyone else been getting excited about the possibilities of Soft sample cell - it looks pretty cool on paper for use with the 001- and they'll be bundling Bitheadz Osmosis software to help convert Akai format to SD2. Looks like its time to get alot more RAM. Has anyone seen or heard it yet - digi says it'll be released in a couple of weeks. This is cool news - why aren't you guys talking about it?

$345 is the list.

I'm excited about it (especially w/ OSmosis), and i hope it works well with
the 001. Ram is pretty cheap these days, so i'll be loading up soon.

But, i echo the sentiments about ALtivec enhanced.
Reaktor will have it, why not Samplecell.

soft sample cell as has been described lacks some of the sexyness of other things buzzing about(halion, exs24,gigastudio,unity, reaktor). SInce I havent used it, cant say anything except what will determine how good or bad it is will be how it integrates with pro tools obviously, as in does it have some advantage over other developers products.

Im curious what unique features this has, what does this offer that oh so many other things out there dont? Why should I buy this instead of reaktor 3.0, or unity, or even go as far as a vst app and look at all the products out that do sampling. And on pc theres gigasampler.
Does this spring from an original idea, is it a ground breaking product and what would make it stand out from the pack.
If its not innovative, why does it even exist?

P.s.
Reaktor 3.0 supports altivec, supposedly an operation on 2.3 taking 90% of the cpu on the very soon(any second now) to be released 3.0 takes %12. It also reads akai samples, and models any analog synth you could imagine.

I'm also excited about Reaktor 3.0, but how well will it work with Direct Connect? Seems to me, if seen lots of posts from users problems. Dunno.
