Default moving tracks/editing

Hey everyone! I just got my Pro Tools (Digi 001 for Windows)and it's going ok so far. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to line up tracks. I imported drums from my old 8 track and then I imported bass. I was thinking it would be easy just to fly in the bass and move it around so it lines up with the drums. How do I select it, drag it and then line it up. Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but it's all kinda new to me.
