Default m-box mini question not tech at all !!!

hey anyone,
I'm a lilttle behind on the times so feel free to beat me up as long as I get an answer to this question. I just set up my "new" computer that I got 6 months ago, and the os is vista. My old computers os was xp. I already know that I can't use 7.3.1 . If I were to buy pro tools Le 8.0 can I still use my old M-Box? be easy on the beat down thanks rick

yes, mB1 works with 8.0, 8.0.1
mB1 does not work with 8.0.3 and up

I'm not telling you to get new hardware but it might be better to put the $150 for the software upgrade into getting a new I/O box that will come with the new software.

No disrespect, Craig... I'm in the means of working on some stuff while trying to upgrade my hardware from an original mbox, so I have yet to test 8.0.1, let alone 8.0.3...
Can it be 100% verified that the original mbox does not work on Vista (32, or 64-bit as I did not see that specified...) at version 8.0.3? My knowledge is that the original mbox is no longer supported beyond PT LE 8.0.1... And therefore might not work on 8.0.3 on vista...

I definitely agree with the upgrading part, but that's a matter of budget and preference.
