Can you re-up this tweak? Can't download! Thanks!

here is one that is not included on the swfs...

to get rid of hiberfil.sys which will continue to grow as system usage continues.

1) go to command prompt usin’ run as admin
2) type ‘powercfg.exe /h off’
3) reboot…file is now deleted

this file will get huge if you leave it active…

IIRC with these tweaks my OS loads up usin' 680mb of ram...down from the +1gb that it usually loads up with. hope these help...
Hi mykhal, thanks for the tweaks. But I couldn't get the last two to play. Tried both links in firefox and ie and I get nothing but a white screen. If you get a chance to look into it, I'd love to do whatever's in those two vids.

Thanks!!!

A thousand thanks to this thread. On the i7 930, W7 Pro x64 bit used 1.5-1.7 G's RAM on startup. After the tweaks it's now in the 800s.

Question: On the Core 2 Quad, Intel DP45SG Mobo, a HDD recently failed. S.M.A.R.T. is enabled but I got no warning. My HDD's are constantly backed up so if one fails I replace it and restore files with Acronis. Is it OK to disable S.M.A.R.T.

Also, what about XD Technology and SpeedStep Technology?
