Default ILok driver won't install

Have downloaded the latest driver for Windows (7 in this case/64bit OS)
The installer seems to just quit during the installation.
Device manager show yellow exclamation mark on ILok symbol.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

Thanks

First try just deleting the "yellow exclamation point" (unrecognized) device, and then reboot. See if Windows finds the ilok driver upon reboot. Otherwise, reinstall.

I am having the exact same problem attempting installing the latest driver on a Windows 7/64bit OS system.

Have gone through Add and Remove Programs and deleted all iLok programs and attempted again. No luck.

Attempted panamajack's suggestion but this does not seem to do anything.

Any ideas?

Install the latest iLOK drivers and reboot.
If the yellow triangle is still there after reboot right click on the ilok and follow the menus to install/update driver that way.

Also, I would turn UAC and anti-virus off before doing the driver install and extract all files if they are zipped.

On the iLok website there are two different installers that it asks for.
One of them is the ?DriverSetup? and the other is the ?ClientHelperSetup?

Anyway, I had a problem with a quiting installer and it happened (I think) because I tried to install the ?DriverSetup? before the other. The installer would quit saying "there are newer drivers installed" when I got to the HelperSetup.

I uninstalled all that I had done so far and retried going with HelperSetup first. When I got to the ?DriverSetup? I had no issues which were making the installer close on me.

That's my experience, I hope it helps.

Thank you so much for all of your help everyone!

I managed to make it work and am ever so happy. Suspect it may have been the anti-virus software but might have been something else.

For anyone else experiencing this problem I lodged a support ticket at iLok.com and received the following information (which worked!)-

Begin by downloading the following file: <http://www.paceap.com/extensions/installers/x64/installx64.zip>

1) From Windows' Add or Remove Programs feature, uninstall any listing of "License Support" and "Interlok driver setup"

2) Reboot the system

3) Disconnect any iLoks connected to the system

4) Run and follow the install instructions of the Tpkdx64Setup.exe file found in the Drivers folder of the installx64.zip file linked here and downloaded. It is very important that no anti-virus or Internet monitoring software (especially Kaspersky) is running.

5) Restart the computer

6) Run and follow the install instructions of the LicenseSupportSetup64.exe file found in the Components folder of the installx64.zip file linked here and downloaded. It is very important that no anti-virus or Internet monitoring software (especially Kaspersky) is running.

7) Restart the computer

8) Try running the software in need of the iLok license.
