Settings / Preferences lost every other day

Hi !

I´ve had a problem with our 2 Pro Tools systems during the year, running 7.1, 7.2 and now 7.3cs4.

When booting the system (after beeing shut down) Pro Tools have lost all it's settings and preferences.

I then manually have to set machine control, ProControl activation, Pal sync, etc. Everything is the returned to the default factory setting.

The setup is

HP XW8200, XP sp2, 192, Sync, V10, Procontrol, Edit pack, Faderpack, SCSI disks.

Anyone familiar with the issue, having a hint?

Yup, Install Quicktime, that will fix it...

the reason i asked..... in the past i remember some versions of quicktime not playing well with protools. ie QT version x was not the newest version but, everything worked fine when using with PT's. if upgraded to the newest version of QT at that time,video would not work in protools.
just wondered if anyone noticed if qt was version specific in reguards to PT7.3.1 being stable

I have a similar problem. After a crash i lost All preferences, settings And favorite plugins. How my pro tools 8 hd3 crashes without some old projects.
Can you help me?
