Default Hardware required for M-Powered

Does M-powered work with an MBox2? I'm looking at buying them paired together, but I can't get any confirmation that they're compatible.

And, If M-Box 2 is compatible, then I don't need any other hardware (Firewire, etc), correct?

No. M powered is for M-Audio hardware. You need LE with an MBOX.
