Zoom tool Disappeared??

Dear DUC

running pro tools 8.0.1 For some reason my zoom tool window has vanished from the session I am working on. I have the magnifying glass Icon still showing in that group of options but the display to the left where you stretch the audio out horizontally has vanished and I cannot seem to recover it. If I open a brand new session it is also gone- but if I open older sessions on the current song or different songs it is there. HELP!! Can't live without it. Can someone tell me how to get this feature turned back on in my edit window. thanks!

ok Drew yes running PT 8.0.1 on Mac OS 10.5 Where is my Zoom tool? What can ido to restore it? seems like i must have accidentally turned out off somehow

No clue. All bets are off when running a version that old, on an OS that new. IOW, you simply can't expect it to work properly. You're in no man's land.

I would have to side with Drew on this one.

The fact that you had the zoom working was probably luck more than anything.

Hang on. If you're on 10.5 Leopard, then LE 8 shouldn't be a problem at all. I would definitely be sure to update to 10.5.8 and take Pro Tools to 8.0.5. Some of the previous versions of 8 had some serious bugs, one being the disappearing take bug having to do with file ID changes.
