Default PT2019 license question

This is a question I've kind of asked before and didn't get an express answer. Does having a PT 2019.6 license asset with a year subscription also get me whatever time I have left on the sub when PT2020 drops? I just did the upgrade from PT 11 to PT 2019 a couple of months back so I'd like to know. By my count I'd have around 6 months left when calendar year 2020 rolls around and the numbering changes to PT 2020.

You will get whatever comes out during that one year annual plan and if a new version of PT drops within that year from activation you will have access to that from your Avid Account Did I get your question right?

Thanks and you got it right. I knew sub-whole number updates were part of the plan but didn't know about whole number updates. I don't know why I waited so long to jump into a current version - there's a number of things I'm liking.

Well PT11 did work for you for a long time right? So i think you waited for the right version to upgrade to as some if the 12 versions were ”nuttin’ but trouble” and a few of the 2018 versions but this 2019.5/6 has been much better for a wider userbase although some has been having issues but most have said that this has been one of the best releases since PT 12.4 and that was and is a winner! We have one of our Trashcans on 12.4 HD still as it is extremely stable on Sierra 10.12.6.

I am happy you are up to date now my friend and there are many new features in the 2019.6 since PT 11.3.2 and a lot more useful features.

Have a nice weekend and a fun PT 2019 experience

Not one of the best but absolutely the best since 12.4
