It does seem like they are trying to push people into the sub. These intro prices are way higher, even for heavy hitters, than they use to be.

Not interested in this STD Delay, the bx_delay is already awesome enough for me.

Waiting for the Herbert, that one I will have to buy.

Not sure where you see $149. Non-logged in and logged in price shows here as $199. Remember when they used to have a low intro price and then the heavy hitter was even lower?

And the 'heavy hitter' price with code is $99.

No thanks. Have better delays - even the Unfiltered Audio one PA sells is better/more flexible. And let's not forget Late Replies from Blue Cat.

I just noticed on my UAD July Promo codes that several of the PIA products are listed as plugs not eligible list.

"*Coupon cannot be used on Antares Auto-Tune Realtime Advanced plug‑in, Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor, Diezel Herbert Amplifier, Brainworx bx_digital V3 EQ Collection, SPLฎ Vitalizer MK2-T, SPLฎ TwinTube Processor, or the elysia• mpressor."

First time I've seen anything but Antares on the list. Also, it's only a subset of PIA plugs on the UAD platform.

Chris I don’t think that’s what’s happening

I think that means that the promo discount code isn’t applicable for those products because they are too new...they don’t qualify for a discount yet

Are you talking about the new plugins that dropped this month? If so there are so-called heavy hitter codes for each that drop the price. For example the Shadow Hills full price is $299 and with code it drops to $199. So that's a discount. What has changed is there's no more 'intro pricing'. Used to be when a new plugin dropped at PA they had an intro price and heavy hitters got a code that dropped the price further. Those days are gone.

But yeah - with this pricing Dirk is pretty much forcing people over to subscription. How long before they go the Adobe route and go all sub?

The Monthly subscriptions are now available, what do you guys have to pay? it's $16.99 for me which comes to $203.88 per year which is ~$24 more than the yearly sub price of $179

I usually spend more than that per month at PA, but of course the difference is I own the plugin forever.

I can see this being helpful when you need certain plugins for a session(s) but you don't need them forever.

Also, if I sub at $16.99 and then drop it later, it will cost full price ($24.99) to get back on. I don't understand that reasoning, because as someone who owns lots of PA plugins I'm not getting the same benefit for the money as someone who owns few or no PA plugins. Seems to me the prices should be set depending on how many PA plugins you already own.

I think we have an offer of $14.99 a month but that ain’t gonna happen anyway. We have soo many UA plugins and Slate and Kush and bla bla bla so we don’t need 107 more for sure!!!

We spent over $28.000 on hardware since Xmas and love all the new shiny toys we can touch and dont need updates or licenses etc

I am a brand new PA user and I got the Shadow Hills compressor plus 6 other plugins for $200 total. I used the $50 voucher they sent to me and I just kept adding $50 plugins until the grand total stopped lowering. Don't need another subscription (monthly bills from AVID and Slate are enough!)
