Feature Request: Enhanced ADR Using COUNTOFF

While recording some ADR last week, an idea struck me about how we could improve the process using existing features within the software.

Extend the functionality of the COUNTOFF feature by introducing:

Options to select lead times, such as 2 or 3 seconds.
Add the option for audible cues choice: either "click" or "pops".
Seems like a feasible enhancement since it leans on already present features. To be clear, I envision this as a quick enhancement, not as a comprehensive ADR solution.

Are you talking about using MIDI controls to do a countdown leader into the ADR cue?

There is already lots of software out there already that works in tandem with Pro Tools.

If you wanted to change the sound used in the click track, this is easily achievable by assigning any midi note and sound module to the click track but usually the beeps played before a cue is a 3 2 1 countdown. A musical countdown is going to be based on tempo, time signature, and whether the cue falls on the exact beat of the measure.
