Record Enable at all times possible ?

Is there a way to have a track always on record enable ?

What’s the reason?

You could more than likely just have input monitoring enabled on the tracks. From memory, input monitoring stays enabled even on session close/load.

I meant record enable on a midi and / or instrument track.

I have Scaler as insert on an Instrument channel and I want midi played from my main controller flowing to it no matter which other instrument I'm using at the time.

Sure, go to Setup, Preferences, MIDI, Default Thru Instrument and select the plugin you want to trigger.

I was looking for the same thing, something like a midi aux track for routing of internal midi data generated by plugins. Seems like default thru instrument is only good for external MIDI coming in.
