9500/132 w/ G3 PCI card and digi001
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had any luck with a PowerPC 9500/132 with a Crescendo 400mhz G3/PCI card and digi001? How many tracks and fx are possible and are there any drawbacks to a upgraded PowerPC compared to a new G3? Also, is the SCSI controler stock on the 9500 fast enough for the digi001? On a side note(maybe this is not the best place to ask this) but how does the digi001 compare to the motu 2408? Thanks all, David

Re: 9500/132 w/ G3 PCI card and digi001
I am running the 001 on my 9500/132 w/Mach3 G3 300MHz and 144 megs ram. I have had very little problems if any. I think it operates fine. I get 24 tracks playback and quite a few plugins (all depends on your ram). I would suggest, though, getting an Adaptec 2930 SCSI card. It's only $99.00 and it handles the data flow a lot faster than the Mac SCSI bus.
