Default Re: PLUGINS TEST FOR DIGI001/PTLE ON A G4/450

I don't even own a Digi001 system yet (just getting over hating the MOTU 1224 working with Logic 4.0) but I do have this to say...
Let's all get real here. Like Transducr said earlier, this is a product designed for home recording projects. Also (paul alvarez touched on this earlier, too), there are TONS of ways to reduce the amount of lag plug-ins have on the system. First of which is creating busses with dedicated delays/reverbs and routing multiple tracks through that, just like you would a dedicated effects box. Right there, you've eliminated the need for 4 'verbs on 4 toms (for instance). As has also been mentioned- route the effected signal to another track and record that- or better yet, record ONLY The effect (record the reverb alone to a track, that way you'll have both the effect and the dry signal available at all times, without the presence of a plug-in). Anyhow- I'm excited about this system. I'm a Pro Tools guy and nothing else stacks up for really recording/editing audio. Thanks for listening.
