Default Beige Revisted

Put it to me plain and simple- is anyone out there using the digi001 package with the beige G3's successfully? Here's what I've got, does anyone know if it'll fly?--

•Beige desktop G3
•system 9
•Powerlogix Powerforce 466mhz
•160 MB memory
•internal 18 gig drive (in addition to 4 gig
built in) for audio, just waiting to be used.

Are you using an accellerator for your processor? Have you had any crashes? Someone told me that Digi's standards are extra high concerning endorsing any potential host system and that 2-3 crashes in 8 hrs. are typical for many products.

It's confusing to anyone scared by their warning about the beige G3s at their system requirements page.

Bottom line- do you recommend the product?

Alright, picked up my unit from Sam Ash last Saturday. Figured I would post some info on it since I have learned so much from reading the other posts here in the past month as I waited. I had already purchased the system and then saw the posting about beige systems. It did worry me. Needless to say, I have had no trouble.

System Config:
G3 366mhz beige mini-tower w/ accelerator
160 mb mem,
2 internal hardrives, one for system, other scsi for PT audio,
internal zip and cd-rom also.

Results:
Played and worked in Demo for a bit - no prob.
imported audio(16 bit) and midi tracks from DP 2.51. - no prob.
DID NOT install OMS.... used FreeMidi already installed/configured. Just turned on OMS emulation with in FreeMidi. - no prob.
DID NOT change any system extentions or control panel settings to get PT to work. YEA!!!! (already had V.mem turned off)
Recored several tracks through i/o box - no prob.
added midi to audio tracks - no prob.

I have not seen the sysmte error that digi is talking about. Hopefully, it will stay that way.
