pt 8 update vs m-box micro with pt 8

hi,
i'm gonna buy a second hand digi 002r with included pt 7.
Because i want to use it it with pt 8 i was wondering if it would be smart
to buy a additional m-box micro with included pt 8 instead of the pt 8 update because it will cost me just a little bit more then the update.
Can I use the pt 8 version of the m-box micro legal with the digi 002 and/ or are there any downsides (for future updates, hardware exchanges, selling it again...)? I'm also wondering if I just buy the pt8 upgrade, what's the situation if I want to sell the digi 002r. Do I need to transfer the pt 8 then as well or could i keep this and only transfer the original included pt 7?

The PT 8 update is the same as the full PT8 installer. You can leagally use PT on 2 systems (I think), but in theory, you can use it on as many as you want to. But I suppose you're also gaining an mbox micro for a slight increase in price, which could be very useful.

Once you have bought the PT8 software, it's yours. You can keep that if you decide to sell the 002 and/or the mbox micro.
