Default Can Strike be triggered with recorded drums?

I have a recorded acoustic set and would like to beef up the kick drum. Can I trigger a Strike kick using the wave form from the recorded kick?

I really don't want to do this by hand...one hit at a time.

Thanks guys.

No, not in Pro Tools. What is needed is a Audio to MIDI Converter. Alternatively, with a MIDI Controller you can lay down MIDI Notes to mirror the kick pattern and thus trigger Strike.

Or you could sample the kicks in Strike, and use a drum replacement program. That's what I do with Superior drummer. Draw in 3 levels of velocity, bounce 3 samples, then use sound replacer. Just a thought, not how you want to do it, but it's another way.

If I may. I am not a drummer and I am just really learning to use ProTools 8LE.

I looks like, with this product I will end up with midi triggers printed...now how do I get Strike to see the triggers ...like a kick sample that I can use to blend (I am a midiot)

Can I use/see the samples in Strike directly?
