Take a look at Visual Quickstart Guide on Pro Tools 6. It's the best book about PT i've read.

I use Pro Tools every day and still buy books. Mostly to try and break myself of bad habits Here's one that I bought recently:

The Musicians Guide to ProTools
author: John Keane
publisher: McGraw Hill - Osborne
ISBN: 0-07-223175-0

It's expensive, but comes with a CD. So far, it's basically a big tutorial with example sessions that needs "fixes".

Hope this helps.

How about a 2 DVD set?

Secrets of the Pros DVDs

I bought the 2-dvd set for PT (6.7 is covered), since I love seeing other ways of working, tips, tricks, etc. Pretty comprehensive! DVD 1 covers what one can buy to use PT LE or TDM (HD), how to setup, basics of the software, for both Mac and XP. DVD 2 really gets into the software, very cool. I would reccomend the set to anyone shy of pro level, simply because I always believe one cannot learn too much

Thank you all for quick answers.
I'm a new user and I am working on Pro Tools since 4 months, before I worked on Screen Sound from SSL and Vegas Video from Sonic Foundry. At the beginning I hated PT, because it seems a little bit complicated, but now I like it. It's a very powerful tool. We are not doing music on PT, basically it is used for post-production, audio voice recording and mixing.

Best regards,

ELTABA

Try "The Complete ProTools Handbook" by Jose "Chilitos" Valenzuela. Very good! Goes beyond just using the software, includes tipe for setting up your PT hardware also.

Actually, yes- Mbox is covered, quite well IMO even. The guy goes over all the features of the hardware for each unit, and since there isn't as much to the Mbox, it gets the full treatment. Plus, since it has the "mix" knob to take care of "no latency moinitoring," he covers that as well.

I just ordered it Nikki. I don't know why but I haven't seen any good movies lately and episode III will be out in DVD in no less than 6 months.

As usual, you will provide me the money back guarantee that I gave you for Kontakt?
