Default Windows/Mac compatibility...

With the M Powered 8, I'm not able to utilize this feature. Will I be able to with PT 9? I'm not seeing it anywhere in the guides.

I see you're the same guy who couldn't grasp the Kia/Mercedes analogy so this should be fun...

Perhaps if you told us exactly what feature you are trying to utilize.

If it is the "Windows/Mac compatibility" you mentioned in your thread title, there are two installers for each PT version, one for PC's, one for Macs. If you want to run it on a PC, you download and install the PC version. If you want to run it on a Mac, you download and install the Mac version...

Just rockin'...what more is there?

I'm talking about the Windows/Mac compatibility feature. It's when you open a new session, you can check a box that makes the file both Windows AND Mac compatible.....

That became automatic in Version 7(I think). The older versions had a check box when you created a session, or when you selected Save Session Copy. I run sessions between my LE/PC system and a friend's HD/Mac system all the time with zero issue or effort. I have to change the IO assignment as the main outs for me are 1&2, but the HD rig uses 1&3.

Have never had an issue opening a session on Win or Mac since V7. No checkbox needed.
