Hey Stan, how about addressing the 'troops' and let us know the 'State of the Union/ProControl" and where you are heading with it? What YOU would like to see implemented............
Why no 'scrub' yet. Track pad fix, is it a possibility or absolutely no chance. Nothing worse than no response.
Thanks.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the words of welcome. I'm going to be sort of officially saying hello in the next week or so but in the meantime, there was a thread about this topic that started on May 15th where Gannon said, "Hi all,
Yes, I'm still here! I've been travelling and took a little vacation so I haven't even checked the DUC for a few weeks. Sorry, I don't want you to take my inattentiveness the wrong way.

Re: trim scub - I know, I know... it's way long overdue. It has not fallen off the radar screen, but there have been other, more pressing issues to be solved and it seems like when we have it in sight, something else (OSX for example) takes a resource away and it gets preemted in favor of something that is a concern for the entire application, not just ProControl.

I know I sound like a broken record, I hate having to deliver this message *again*, but that's the truth of the matter. Your vocal protests are heard and help make the case for getting this feature implemented (but I don't want to incite a riot!)

Please don't kill the messenger!

-Gannon Kashiwa
ProControl Product Manager - Digidesign"

And unfortunately for now, that's still the case around here. We are still working heavily on other issues right now and while this is still on the radar, I don't have a firm date to give you. Thanks for you patience, and if I can find anything out, you will be the second to know. I guess I could ask you all not to kill me since I'm the new guy but I'll just have to take my chances!

Regards,

Stan Cotey

Hmmmmm ,........

prove it by making a point about it ... we have been asking for this since PC came out ... either get it in there or give us a clear detailed explanation why in the name of god it still isn't in there ....

quote:

And unfortunately for now, that's still the case around here. We are still working heavily on other issues right now and while this is still on the radar...

this just isn't ****ing good enough anymore as an answer ... not to me it isn't anymore ....

You guys have been great on a many number of things ... support ... lot's of new implemented features ... plugs on faders control to name but one ....

But for this one, I'd trade them all back in, those so called nice features you've added since the beginning, .... this one is the only one I REALY want ...

Now please tell us the truth ... I'm starting to think that for some reason it just isn't possible,... if so ... just ****ing tell us ... I simply cannot and will not believe that it is so hard to answer such a simple question, which btw I'm pretty sure you know the truth about ....

I allready said welcome to you on the other thread Stan ... so forgive me the shooting ok .... nothing personal ....

yup..... let's all tell digi that actually we are very happy with the PC as it is .... so digi can sit on it's but and do nothing about it ....

I asume you have been on these boards long enough to know that most of us out here are very possitive and very constructive towards digi .... 9/10 times .... some critisism from time to time is in order on the other hand, and if you do a search on the scrubwheel topic, you'll find that this question has been asked ever since the PC came out .... and you will also see that uptill now, digi has NOT provided a very helpfull or clear answer, nore have they clearly said that they will or will not implement it ... nore why it takes so long, .... nore why they can't do it ... or whatsoever

Now how old is the PC ..... good ....now that you've read all the questions and answers about this topic, tell me again .... are we patient or not ....

This stupid trackpad is the main reason I don't work from the center of my console. Fix this pad or retrofit it with something that works... how hard is that?

I'm sorry some of you didn't like my first post! I know this is a hot issue for some. I will do my best to get some answers and pass them along although I don't know enough of the history of this particular topic right now. I am aware that this has been ongoing for a while. I will have some conversations around here and try to get some answers.

Just to let you guys know how I work, unless the building is on fire, I will check in with the DUC a few times a week during normal times and more frequently if there are any big issues. I will try to respond as quickly as I can in all cases. I know that this stuff can be frustrating.

I think this is fairly obvious but, I won't automatically have all of the history and answers to any given problem -- I just haven't been here long enough yet. I will try to gather information and tell you what I know.
