Default HELP - ATTO SCSI driver 3.2.0 & YAMAHA 2100S CDRW

I need your help guys...

Mac G4-933 1.25GB Memory, OS 10.3.5, PT 6.2.3
ATTO UL3D, Atto Cofiguration Tool version 2.8 & 3.2.0 Driver installed.

After I installed 3.2.0 ATTO Driver, my Yamaha 2100S SCSI CDRW won't close the door.
When boot up at beginning, door opens automatically and I can't let it close.

From OS 10.3, we have to install ATTO driver version 3.2.0.
So I did. Then if I install ATTO driver version 2.1.2 (which is for 10.2.4-10.2.8) over 10.3.5, door close no problem!!!
Is this issue relating with UNIX 512 block issue

Anybody has problem with SCSI on OS 10.3.x?
How is 10.3.7?
How is your SCSI in general on OS 10.3.5 or 10.3.7?

Right now, still I have to work with OS 10.2.8 w/ PT 6.1.2...

Please help me out.

Thank you so much!

Lucas

I would strongly suggest contacting ATTO about this.

I got a mail from Ryan of Atto Tech Support.
I want to put it for other people who may have same problem.
Thanks Lyan & Danny.

I have done some internal testing with the UL3D and the 3.20 driver under OS X 10.3.7 and found that scsi cdrom drives exhibit the behavior that you have described to us where the drive door will open and can not be closed while the Mac is turned on. A temporary workaround for this problem is to use the 3.10 driver for the UL3D in 10.3.x. I have attached it to this message for your use. You will need to uninstall the 3.20 driver before you install the 3.10 driver. To remove the old driver follow these steps:

Log in as root and delete the following files:
/System/Library/extensions.kextcache
/System/Library/extensions.mkext
/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kernelcaches/* (delete all files in this folder)
/System/Library/Extensions/ATTOExpressPCIPLUS.kext

After you have deleted these files run the installer for the 3.10 driver and restart your system. Your cdrom drive should now close.

We will be working to resolve this problem in a future driver release, unfortunately I can not say when that will be. In the meantime I hope that this is a satisfactory solution for you.
