Re: error when trying to bounce a video
Did you select the portion of the timeline that you want to bounce?

Re: error when trying to bounce a video
Hi,
Bouncing out a movie from WMV or AVI isn’t currently working and I don’t have any information on when this will change. I do have a workaround for your current project and a recommendation for you for any future sessions that include video. For your current project you need to bounce out just the audio and then recombine it with the video from the WMV in a standalone video application. If you don’t have a standalone video application Microsoft has their free Windows Live Movie Maker application. Make sure your bounce starts and ends with the video clip so that it lines up. Import your movie into Windows Live Movie Maker. Import the audio you bounced out of Pro Tools into the Windows Live Movie Maker project as the “music” you want to add to the movie. If you look in Windows Live Movie Maker at the audio feature it’s just a slider that mixes between the movie’s native audio and your imported “music” file. Slide this all the way to music and save out your video with your bounced audio from Pro Tools. This effectively replaces the old audio with your new audio from Pro Tools. If you need Windows Live Movie Maker it’s a free download at the Microsoft site. If you Google it Windows Movie Maker it will come up. If you have another video application you are more comfortable with you can use it to replace the audio and export the movie with the updated sound. Going forward you should only work with QuickTime .mov files. These will let you bounce to QuickTime movie reliably. There are a number of applications you can use to convert .wvm files to .mov. I swear I’m not stalking you I log into the DUC when I have a little free time and start in this forum since I’m predominately Windows user (I have to update my signature). If I see something I can help with I try to give a hand. For some reason you’re post was first again. I hope this helps. |
