Default Serious problem with Workspace Browser 7.2!!!

Here is the course of events:
-I was in tracking sessions all morning, everything fine.
-I wanted to show client a dvd so I needed core audio.
-I quit PT and began to launch core audio driver.
-Kernel Panic
-Restarted all seemed fine
-I wanted to move audio files to another folder in the Workspace browser, when I remembered that they had the same name, as I dropped them in PT quit no warning
-I went through the standard procedure trashing prefs, digibase & repair permissions.
-upon relaunch Workspace could not open the volume
-went through a cold start after trashing etc and was up again
until I went to open the volume again crash after crash with no warning what so ever.
-I uninstalled Pro Tools and reinstalled again.
All seemed fine
-I noticed that at one point PT was open and core audio driver was open on it's own at the same time.
-I quit core audio driver
-I went to open the volume again from the Workspace browser and crash.

I have not had problems like this before and I am up against a deadline.

Any help appreciated.

Rob, we had some problems just after updating where a session was opened, all of the files and markers were there but NO REGIONS! All the playlists were EMPTY. The ONLY way to get them back was to go through ALL of the backup files, until we found one that had the regions intact.

We then trashed and rebuilt all drive catalogs. I assume this may have fixed it, but haven't seen the problem again since.
