Default D Command user settings saved where?

Hi,

Just doing a fresh install of PT on a new hard drive and the D Command is back to default even with recalled sessions. i thought the settings would stick in the unit itself, but must be saved to somewhere on the system drive?

I posted the same question a week ago..snap..
After more searching, I saw a post saying they are stored in the Pro Tools preferences. Did you back them up before the new drive?

Hi,

Yeah i found the same post from a few years back. i'm doing a fresh install so don't want to risk importing any old stuff. shame they implement this as a seperate pref or setting in the avid folder. oh well have to start again.

Yeah I did a complete reinstall a couple of months ago and found out the hard way. I'm still finding things I had forgotten I changed in the console prefs. Explains why I lost them before if I trashed my PT prefs.
