Default upgrade paths

need help deciding on an upgrade path. Right now I'm running an MBox on a G4 Dual 500. I've got a Command 8 and a pair of MAudio BX5's for monitors. The real question is, am I better off getting an 002r to handle bigger sessions and plug-ins, or maybe a dual processor upgrade. I do audio post for film and doc's, and with digital pix included, I'm not able to run bigger sessions maxed out a 32 LE tracks + plug-ins. I know I'm still limited to 32 tracks with the 002r, but will it be more stable, and handle more plug-ins.
Not ready for a leap to the big-time of a HD system.

Thanks for the input
