Default Control 24 (dreaded power supply)

I just bought a control 24 but i was real hesitent in the purchase because of the power supply problems on this list. However i did buy after numerous calls to digi tech support about this . I was told if the serial number ends in f or g it has been fixed. If b or c beware. Is this a crock? For 7k a dependable product should be expected. My serial number ends in g, hope its a good one.

Greene,
We also recently had a power supply go on our C24. It was an hour fix once the parts arrived(within 24 hours). It is a fine console especially when you consider it is ONLY $7000!
Hell I've worked on consoles for years that were over $1 million and they required a hell of a lot more maintenance than a C24.

Hey,
Yup, my power supply fried on sunday 1/5 and Digi had a new one to me my 10 am tuesday 1/7 and I installed in about 45 minutes. However the replacement fried today. Apparently these are being recyled and a new design is forth coming. I think these are gonna to keep frying until they upgrade. I do have to admit Digi appears to be on this issue.
We'll find out tomorrow.
